Good Woods Forestry Mulching, owned by Scott Goodwin, provides comprehensive land management solutions, helping property owners and municipalities in Midcoast Maine reclaim and clear overgrown fields, yards, and roadways using a small Kubota excavator and an FAE mulching head that reduces unwanted vegetation to wood chips on site. Areas can be cleared faster and cost-effectively as compared to traditional brush hogging or hand clearing. The result is more environmentally friendly, leaving the biomass on-site. Scott grew up in Maine, splitting his time between Augusta and West Gardiner, working summers with his dad doing construction. He graduated from Hebron Academy and then received his bachelor's degree in small business management from the University of Vermont. After college, Scott moved to Arizona where he worked in the landscape and construction fields for over 25 years. He moved back to Maine in 2018 and founded a successful home inspection business, Good Home Property Inspections. Scott started Good Woods Forestry Mulching in 2024 when he realized this was a service he, his friends, and his family needed.
